Overview
Famous organist Anton Phibes is horribly disfigured in an automobile accident while rushing to the side of his sick wife and presumed to be dead. Once Phibes learns that his wife died on the operating table, he is convinced the doctors are responsible and begins exacting his revenge on all those involved.

The Abominable Dr. Phibes is a 1971 British dark comedy horror film, produced by Ronald S. Dunas and Louis M. Heyward, directed by Robert Fuest, written by William Goldstein and James Whiton, and starring Vincent Price and Joseph Cotten. Its art deco sets, dark humour, and performance by Price have made the film and its sequel Dr. Phibes Rises Again cult classics.

Amazon.com: The Abominable Dr. Phibes / Dr. Phibes Rises ...Basically the first movie is a hoot and the second one isn't as good. I thought that the 'Abominable Dr Phibes' had a lot going for it. Hammy as hell without a doubt but a real blast from start to finish. Vincent Price is totally over the top but needs to be given the context of the movie. 'Dr Phibes Rises Again' doesn't work quite as well.
