Perhaps the broadway feel of the movie stems from the fact that "Jersey Boys" actually began as a hit Broadway show- starring the same John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli. Clint Eastwood is great about using new talent in his films- I love this because it allows us, the audience, to focus on the story, not the actor.
